This project was the result of a needs assessment conducted on faculty perceptions of a professional develop training course aimed to support the implementation of a new LMS. the professional development training course was a five-module asynchronous course, and faculty were provided three months to engage in training before the LMS was to be fully implemented. The needs assessment had two main objectives:

  1. The needs assessment had two objectives: identify the strengths and weaknesses of the training course as perceived by full-time faculty; and

  2. Determine opportunities for ongoing training to meet the specific needs of full-time faculty.

The needs assessment report was prepared to direct the protocol for assessment, follow-up reports to be drafted and shared, action plans to be identified based on the findings, and proposed changes to be made in response to the assessment.
